This article discusses a clinical study evaluating curcumin’s effect in aiding treatment for rheumatoid arthritis. The conclusions state the curcumin group in the randomized study showed the highest percentage of improvement in overall DAS and ACR scores, significantly better than the patients in the diclofenac sodium group. Curcumin treatment was found to be safe and did not relate with any adverse events, providing evidence for the safety and superiority of curcumin treatment in patients with active rheumatoid arthritis.
