Pine bark extract (Pycnogenol®) and treatment for hypertension.

A double-blind, placebo-controlled parallel group study with 58 patients with hypertension shows that supplementation with Pycnogenol®, an extract from pine bark, caused a reduction in calcium antagonist nifedipine in a statistically significant amount.
